first blog assignment world lit
Life, as we know it, is something quite abstract and vastly different then previous life before us. The way we are raised, the technology we use, the miriad of different influences being bombarded into our minds everyday; these are just a sample of things that affect the way we act, respond, and communicate with one another. Laws, regulations, "taboo" societal acts, manners, etiquite; these are just a sample of the ways we govern the conduct of our relationship with ourselves, and with society. All of this, however, is meaningless. The creation of governing bodies and the formation of societal rules, along with the use of technology and influences from others, has nothing to do with our survival or perhaps even our existence. When it comes down to it, life can be as plain and simple as a white napkin on an undecorated table. Logical analysis is the governing feature in this type of life. Rules such as "hunt, eat, survive, and reproduce" are what shapes you and creates your exsistence. Just like Prime Numbers, this exsistence can be never ending, follow a distinct set of rules, and is as boring and pointless as the afore-mentioned white napkin. Perhaps though, this "life", is withdrawn from the true point of living. Perhaps following logical guidlines and basic rules would create a wasted exsistence. Perhaps a life wasted is not worth living. So "life" may be plain and simple when brought down to the point. "Living", however, is not so simple. "living" is quite individualized, and can be shown through many different perspectives. Each person has a different idea of how to go about living their lives. What creates this this "living" feature, is how that particular person thinks, acts, communicates and most importantly finds happiness in this world. Its different for everyone, and some may find similiar attributes to share and connect with one another. This creates relationships, forms new ideas, thoughts, and advances civilizations, along with countries and societies. How lucky are we to be in exsistence in a time where thoughts and ideas can be shared with anyone you want, anytime you want? How lucky are we that knowledge is attainable, and happiness can be reached if you turely want it? That is the point of "living" isnt it?
